The other places I’ve been to you have all different applications with the fish. it could have been more creative. I was allergic to two things so wasn't able to eat it but they were accomdating about it and offered to make something else which was nice but my boyfriend just ate my part. Sitting at the bar, we were able to see each piece being prepared by our chef, who then explained to us what we were eating and from where the food...was sourced. At over $700 for three people, customer service should not take a back seat to so-called ways of doing things. The sake was all well balanced and they swapped the sweet one for a dryer one for me. Reservations are a must because Yasu is considered by many to be the best Japanese place in the city. Expensive, but well worth the experience. Overall it was an awesome experience, but the food needs to be more diversified.

They told us that was cod testicles. My favourite was three pieces of bluefin tuna from different areas of the fish including the delicious fatty o-toro. We spend a wonderful night at Yasu, this place is very tiny but cozy.
